Tripod Winter Coats are an original Cottage Hound Design, created from the ideas given to me by my dear cyber friend George Wang & his wife Rachel. This coat is a tribute to their Greyhound Sadie 12/24/96 to 08/20/04, whom passed to the Rainbow Bridge from complications of Bone Cancer. May she be playing, healthy again in the meadow with all our beloved furs, until such time as her parents join her, in a future time and place.

Roo Hollowell modeling his new Tripod Coats. Roo recently lost his front leg to osteo and his recovery is coming along nicely. He'll have good times playing this winter in the snow with his Greyhound brothers and sisters. Extra special good wishes to his human family for his continued good health.

Riley-Roo, who was 10 yrs and 2 months
young, left this earth at exactly noon on August 11th to
go to the Rainbow Bridge. He is greatly missed
here and I write this with much sadness in my heart.
Roo became a tripod in August 2004 due to Osteosarcoma.
He lost his right front leg but it never slowed him
down. He still ran with our other greys in a mad
dash to the door and sometimes won that race. He
still dug deep craters in the yard with his one
remaining front leg. He still rooed and barked and
enjoyed his life to the fullest. He did accomplish
another major feat also....he beat the cancer. He
was fully x-rayed the day before he left and was still
100% cancer free so HE BEAT CANCER!!!!
Many people were involved in his great
success and comfort. One of those was Christel
Ausman of Cottage Hound Designs along with George Wang
who lost his Sadie to Osteo in August of 2004 .
Together they came up with a new design for a tripod
winter coat and send it (and a second one later) to Roo
here is Michigan. Roo has used that coat to stay
warm and snuggly for 2 winters and he loved his
beautiful, soft coat. He often used it as a pillow
or a bed and was always so excited when it was time to
put it on. I want to thank them sincerely for
that.
Many others have also helped Roo and I
as we made this trip together and each of them is
precious to me. Now Roo continues his journey
without me until one day we are reunited at the Bridge.
Farewell my handsome boy..until we meet again.
Dawn and the Newest and Brightest Star
in the Sky.....Riley-Roo
